Karyl oversees our therapy program, providing one on one therapy sessions with our clients at Valiant Recovery. She is a certified councilor, with her focus being in the area of addictions, including gambling. Karyl has received training in many different therapy techniques, including the Genesis program, grief and loss, and others.

Karyl brings tremendous experience to the home. Having founded and run three rehabilitation homes in previous years, she has gained ample experience in group home therapy. Karyl trains other counselors in the area of addictions and in her part time is developing a program to have counselors certified online.

In 2003 Karyl won the Women of Distinction Award for community leadership in the central Okanagan.

Having first hand experience in the devastation of addictions, and overcoming their grip, Karyl not only has experience, but burns with passion. She desires others to experience the freedom that she has, and live their life with passion and fullness.
